Datapro Systems Limited debuts in Nigeria
Datapro Systems Limited, a new Internet
Service Provider with special focus on helping
small and medium scale enterprises become more
competitive and cut overall expenses, has made
its debut in Nigeria.
Through effective deployment of technology and
trading under the Odera Internet Solutions
trademark, the company, a dynamic technology
outfit, was set up to harness the power of
information technology and the Internet to
provide solutions for SMEs all over Nigeria.
According to Mrs. Doris Ojo, Odera's Chief
Executive Officer, "With limited resources,
small businesses seriously need to harness the
Internet because the web gives small
businesses more value for their money. The
Internet can provide a system to help small
businesses be more efficient, productive, and
strategic with there time which makes it worth
the investment."

South Africa in business with the rest of the
continent
South
Africa, isolated during the apartheid years,
is now rushing to do business with the rest of
the continent.
The Southern African powerhouse is the largest
foreign investor in the rest of Sub-Saharan
Africa, and trade between South Africa and its
African partners has reached levels equal to
trade between South Africa and the United
States, according to Alec Erwin, minister of
public enterprises in South Africa.
Across the continent, South African companies
are pushing into nations where other foreign
investors have sometimes hesitated to go,
offering cell phone service in Congo, building
hotels in Nigeria, providing bank loans in
Angola, smelting aluminum in Mozambique,
running power plants in Mali and selling
decent pizza or hamburgers just about
everywhere. In Zambia, South Africa is now the
country's largest foreign investor with $373
million invested in more than 300 projects,
ahead of former colonial power Britain with
$303 million in investment, Sichilongo said.
The projects--the majority of which are in
agriculture, manufacturing, tourism and
service industries--have created nearly 22,000
jobs over the past decade, the minister added.
