Crossland Communications Limited and Motorola have rolled out the push- to –talk phone
service. Push-to-talk addresses the need for an integrated digital wireless solution for
business workforce in a variety of vertical markets. The system is based on the premise that
mobile workers need immediate access to data and people without the hassles of carrying
several pieces of equipment”.

The company’s operations manager, Yemi Adesokan said the service was aimed at

The easy to use digital handsets serves as a mobile phone and also transforms into a two way
radio for consultation with one person or hundreds of people in different locations.

The iDEN technology features next generation wireless solutions, allowing users to simplify
by being connected to their business, friends and family at a little cost, by using one
pocket sized digital handset. The iDEN technology, he said , was developed by Motorola in
1994 with more than 39 million users in 29 countries.
Based on these strengths, Crossland Communication Nigeria Limited partnered with Motorola to
introduced the iDEN technology as the best solution to upgrade the communication needs of
the growing Nigerian business sector.
